OK, so this is mostly for [livejournal.com profile] cattitude and [livejournal.com profile] bsquad, but if [livejournal.com profile] gmdraves is interested, let me know.

So, I'm getting impatient about generating characters for the game, because once we get that done, I can see how things are likely to shape up.

What I'd like y'all to do is to think about what the coolest, kick butt character in AD&D would be. One that you'd enjoy playing, but is also somewhat of a badass. As I think I said, I'm starting you out with 20,000 XP to be used however you want within the rules. You can pick any setting you like, so long as it's published, or if I OK it. I'll say straight out that Dark Sun wins hands down for badasses, but Oriental Adventures runs a close second. I'm unsure about Birthright, as I've never run it, but the abilities you get as a Birthright character fade once you hit the planes anyhow, so I wouldn't bother.

Monks in my campaign run at higher hit points than standard first/second edition ones. Assassins are allowed from first edition. Cavaliers are not. They just don't exist.

So, work out something that you think would be fun, send me a comment or an email with a concept, and we'll get things off the ground.

For those interested in joining up, the setting is going to be planescape, so it'll be a grand romp around the universe. Hence me allowing any sort of PC, because you can come from pretty much anywhere.

If you're interested in playing a planescape PC, one from the outer plane, let me know. Playing a 'plane touched' PC with a bit of celestial, fiendish, or elemental blood is fine. You can even play a Modron. I've got the rules for those.
