Senator Bill Frist regarding the diagnosis he made based on a one hour tape viewing of Terry Schiavo.
The medical examiner said the results were consistent with a persistent vegetative state _ the diagnosis husband Michael Schiavo used to argue Schiavo wouldn't won't to be kept alive in her condition.
Polls have found a majority of Americans opposed federal involvement and the issue contributed to a drop in approval ratings for the Republican-controlled Congress.
Frist said the autopsy should mark the close of a divisive chapter.
"The diagnosis they made is exactly right. It's the pathology, I'll respect that. I think it's time to move on," Frist said earlier Thursday on CBS' "The Early Show."
Riiiight. Because, you know, now that we all know she wasn't going to come back from that coma ever, and that she had no vision centers (and therefore no way to respond to visual stimulus as you said she did) we should move on.
Because, if positions were reversed, that's exactly what you'd do.
You know what I call that? I call that MORE BULLSHIT THAN EVERY BULL EVER SHAT OUT IT'S BOVINE ASS FOR ALL TIME.
The sad thing is, the media will probably bear it's throat and acknowledge Frist's dominance. Because by God, the American People won't want to hear how the nation's leadership was wrong. Americans don't like admitting, knowing, or even knowing anyone thinks they were wrong. Unless it's Bill Clinton, who's to blame for everything.
The only thing the autopsy ought to end is the endless line of FOX news fuckfaces who call for the lynching of Michael Schiavo, and the endless hours of weepy footage devoted the Terry Schiavo's deluded parents, and their religious right backers.
For Frist, Schiavo's parents, the assholes who put Schiavo's husband through hell, the shit-heads in congress who stretched this out, Jeb Bush, and the rest of the Florida Republicans, it ought to be payback time
If the Democrats had sense, they'd take this issue and nail people to the wall with it as painfully and publicly as possible. Because that's exactly what the other side would do, and we're not winning by playing by a set of rules that allows them to do that to us, but has us dropping the issue that should do real damage.
